About Me

Art with heart — for animals, for purpose, for good
Hi, I’m Emily Bodhi — a mixed media artist, colour lover, animal devotee, and heartfelt storyteller through paint. Originally from the UK, I now call the lush landscapes of Byron Bay, Australia home — though my inspiration comes from many corners of the world I’ve lived and wandered.
My work is often recognised for its bold use of colour, playful spirit, and deep emotional resonance with the animal world. From the soulful eyes of rescued cows to the cheeky monkeys of Sri Lanka or the serene elephants of pink-drenched skies, each piece is a celebration of life, beauty, and the sacred bond between humans and animals.
Having lived and travelled in places as diverse as Sri Lanka, Borneo, and Africa, my art is woven with layers of cultural texture and wild wonder. I paint not only what I see but what I feel — the awe, the mischief, the softness, and strength of the beings we share this earth with.
I believe art has the power to heal, to uplift, and to reconnect us with nature — especially in a world that can feel increasingly disconnected. That belief is at the heart of this shop, which is not just a business, but a for-purpose platform. My dream is to grow this space into something that helps fund the reopening of the animal sanctuary I founded in 2018 — a safe haven where rescued animals can roam freely, and creativity can blossom alongside compassion.
For now, I’m gratefully living as a full-time artist — exhibiting internationally and building this shop, where every brushstroke is part of a bigger vision: to paint animals in order to help save them.
Thank you for stopping by and being part of this journey. I hope my work brings a little more magic, meaning, and colour to your world.
With love,
Emily 🐾
